I don’t have kids and I’m far from an expert. But I didn’t talk much until I was four, when my little sister was born. I didn’t go to preschool; I started with kindergarten.

This was the 70s and it wasn’t even suggested that there was a problem with my development. I was an avid reader as an older child. I graduated high school, I did well on my SATs, I am extremely well-versed in the English language as an adult, and I have two college degrees.

I guess I’m saying that I feel like you’re putting a lot of pressure on a three year old.
