I don’t know if this is a correct conclusion to draw from this. Shouldn’t it be more “after we have been eating a very low number of calories for a long time”? If someone loses a significant amount of weight slowly, they don’t get that mega craving for calories. I’ve lived both kinds of weight loss so that’s just my personal experience speaking.

The other part I highlighted, were you said it took some of the men up to four years to take off the rebound weight, that’s the first piece of information that you provided about this study that I hadn’t read before (or didnt remember), but this actually strikes me as encouraging news, because it means they did eventually lose the excess weight. most people who gain a lot of extra weight for whatever reason, don’t ever manage to successfully take it off.
