I have heard many, many stories of fat women whose concerns about medical issues are dismissed because they are told they just need to lose weight. This is the first time I’ve heard of a woman’s medical concerns being dismissed because she looked perfectly healthy. It seems to me that it’s two sides of the same coin: rampant sexism and general incompetence among doctors. There should be a yelp specifically for medical professionals!
