I’m not a parent at all, but I like how you have your eyes open and you are being very realistic. The one thing that seemed odd to me is how you thought one chocolate edible per week was reasonable. Before you said that, my assumption was that the girl wanted to try marijuana to see how it felt and perhaps mentioned it to her parents because she wanted to try it in a safe space so that if she didn’t have a good time, her parents would be there to take care of her. So to see you immediately assume that it’s something she would want to engage in on a weekly basis seems a little presumptive that any substance use is by nature habitual, and I don’t think it is.
