What you wrote may be YOUR truth, but it’s not THE truth. Mindful eating does not work for me. I take birth control pills and those stimulate my appetite, so I cannot trust my body to know what it wants and what it doesn’t. And I can’t get off the pill for medical reasons that I’m not going to go into right now. So if I don’t want to be hugely uncomfortably fat, I need to track numbers. I need to track calories in and calories burned. It’s part of my lifestyle now. I’ve been doing this consistently for over 10 years. I get that it didn’t work for you, and you have my sympathy. But don’t just write it off for everyone.
